What is Quiche?
Quiche is a french dish. It has a short crust generally filled with a mixture of eggs, cream, onion, meat and seafood.
Traditionally, quiche filled with eggs, onion, cream, mushrooms, meat, seafood, etc.
Quiche v/s Flan
Quiche is a savoury tart with crust while Flan is spongy pastry with a sweet taste.

For Shortcrust:
Ingredients:
- Maida
- Salt
- water
- Butter/ oil
Method:
- Take maida, salt, oil in a bowl and make a dough out of it.
- Rub the oil/butter into maida with the help of your fingers until the mixture looks like a ladoo.
- One the dough binds together properly. Wrap the dough in plastic and chill it for 15-30 mins.
- Once the dough gets chilled, take it out from the fridge and roll it.
- Place the shortcrust sheet in tart mould and docking it with the help of folk.
- After docking, place the butter paper on top of it and put some chickpea on it for weight.
- Place the tart mould in the oven and half baked so that it becomes crunchy once it is fully baked.
First version: Three pepper quiche
Ingredients:
- Short crust
- Pepper(red, yellow, green)
- PlantMade Vegetarian Anda
- Salt
- Black pepper
Method:
- Chop all the three peppers in dice form.
- Heat the pan and apply a little bit of oil. Saute the peppers in the pan.(Optional: you can add garlic, peppers etc according to your taste.)
- Take all these three pepper into bowl and add a little bit of PlantMade Vegetarian Anda
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper to the above mixture and mix them well.
- Pour the mixture into the tart mould. *fill the mixture to the rim
- Place the mould inside an oven for 10-12 minutes until the egg has cooked and the crust becomes slightly brown.
Second version: Mushroom and onion quiche
Ingredients:
- Short crust
- Mushrooms
- Onions
- PlantMade Vegetarian Anda
- Salt
- Black pepper
Method:
- Chop the mushroom and onion in dice form.
- Heat the pan and apply a little bit of oil. Saute the mushrooms and onions in the pan. (Optional: you can add garlic, peppers, etc according to your taste.)
- Take the diced mushroom and onions into a bowl and add a little bit of PlantMade Vegetarian Anda
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper in the above mixture and mix them well.
- Pour the mixture into the tart mould. *fill the mixture to the rim
- Place the mould inside an oven for 10-12 minutes until the egg has cooked and the crust becomes slightly brown.
